Craig George won the battle of the brothers as he created a bit of history at Wickford LTC.
He defeated last year's men's singles winner, and his sibling, Neil 2-6 6-4 7-6 to take the crown after a nail biting tiebreak.
It was the first time two brothers had contested the men's singles final at the Swan Lane club.
Karen Poole secured her place in the club record books by winning her 12th singles title by beating Sandra Ellis 6-1 6-4.
Neil George came away with some silverware on the day courtesy of his win in the men's doubles. He teamed up with veteran Ron Moss to beat Chris Osborn and Cliff Warwick 6-1 7-5.
Tricia Goddard and Nicky Thain triumphed in the ladies' doubles by seeing off Sandra Ellis and Claire Bellman 2-6 6-1 6-2.
