A graduate is preparing for the trip of a lifetime.
Fiona Martin of Evelyn Road, Willows Green, near Great Leighs, has recently finished a degree in Zoology from the University of Wales, Bangor.
And from October 1, she is going to Madagasca to carry out volunteer work with the charity Azafad
Fiona said: "I had just finished my degree and Azafady were advertising at the university for people who were interested in helping. As I had always been interested in Madagascar from a zoological point of view I decided to apply and was accepted."
The 21-year-old will be helping with the humanitarian and conservation efforts of the charity.
