Millwall midfielder Adeleke Odunsi will sign a long-term loan deal for Colchester United tomorrow.
The 21-year-old Lambeth-born player, more commonly known as Leke, impressed Steve Whitton so much in yesterday afternoon's 1-1 reserve team draw with Gillingham that the U's boss promptly put the wheels in motion to sign him.
Whitton said: "Leke is a very talented holding midfield player and he showed enough yesterday for us to snap him up on a long-term loan deal similar to the one where we brought in Arsenal's Graham Barrett last season."
Renowned as an excellent product of Millwall's youth set-up, powerful central midfielder Odunsi will be coming to the U's with plenty of Football League experience already behind him.
A player reputed to be very comfortable on the ball, boasting great vision and who gives no quarter in the tackle, he enjoyed several outings in Millwall's First Division squad last term.
Odunsi joins former Millwall club mates Scott Fitzgerald, Bobby Bowry and Danny Steele at Layer Road.
