A security company has been called in to crack down on motorcyclists riding trials bikes in a Basildon park, it has been revealed.
Basildon District Council has contacted the company, who work in partnership with the police, to visit Victoria Park throughout the day and evict motorcyclists illegally riding there.
Phil Rackley, Basildon Council's portfolio holder for health and services to the community, said: "I am pleased that already a number of riders have been turned away - much to the relief of residents living nearby."
