A Stanford teenager is living her dream - treading the boards on the east coast of America.
Nineteen-year-old Emma Murphy has jetted off to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for a year's singing and dancing.
The former Gable Hall schoolgirl and Performers' College student won a chance to audition as a dancer for the Spirit of the Dance show at the Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach.
Her mum, Barbara, said: "She went for five weeks training in London as a dancer and then they asked if any could sing. Emma's got a lovely voice and when they heard it everything happened at once."
Instead of five weeks in London and hopes of a trip to America, Emma was told she had two weeks to get ready -- not just to dance, but also to sing in Lullabies on Broadway.
