Dovercourt's long-awaited skatepark is due to be unveiled at the weekend.
It should have been opened at Easter but has suffered several delays.
On Saturday, the park, in Low Road, will be opened and a team of skaters and BMX cyclists will show off their skills.
The park has been provided thanks to Harwich Crime Prevention Panel and Harwich Town Council.
Among the dignitaries due to attend the event are Harwich mayor Dave McLeod, Tendring Council chairman John White, Gerald Wallington-Hayes, chairman of the crime prevention panel, and High Steward of Harwich, Bill Bleakley.
