An intrepid dad is gearing up for the adventure of a lifetime to raise vital funds for Little Haven children's hospice.
Tony Lewis's daughter Chloe, three, who has a brain tumour, regularly visits the centre in Daws Heath Road, Thundersley.
Now he will face one of the toughest mountain climbs in the world, scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa as part of a sponsored challenge.
Tony, 32, of Hornchurch, said: "When we first had Chloe we found it very hard to cope. We had so much to do we never left the house and then a friend referred us to Little Haven."
Chloe is getting better every day and Tony and wife Teresa, 32, have decided to give up her hospice place for other, sicker, children.
Tony has already collected £2,700 in sponsorship, but hopes to raise about £3,500.
To sponsor Tony contact him on 01708 505025.
