Organisers of a rave scheduled for Saturday night are to go to the High Court to contest Colchester Council's attempt to pull the plug on the event.
The organisers at Pulse8, who hoped to stage the all-night event at a farm in Copford, will claim they are being completely legal in their actions, but have also promised to hold the event "no matter what".
If the High Court judges decide to serve an injunction banning the organisers from staging the rave, it is thought it will go ahead anyway.
The Evening Gazette understands that an alternative site has already been found.
