Dozens of cars were offered free emissions tests as part of a bid to improve air quality in Thurrock.
The Clean Fuel Roadshow in Morrisons' supermarket car park in Grays invited drivers to have a free car test.
They were also given the chance to look at electric and gaspowered cars.
A Thurrock Council spokesman said: "A consultation is being held to get the views of local people to see if it is worth holding another roadshow."
Tony Le Voi Vauxhall provided the LPG gas vehicle while South Ockendon Ford displayed a think electric car.
