Blue House Farm in North Fambridge will be holding its first open day this month since the Foot and Mouth epidemic closed it to the public last year.
The farm open day, supported by the Essex Wildlife Trust, will take place on August 18, from 2pm and there will be two new bird hides for visitors to view the farm's bird life.
The hides are brand new and designed from steel and plastic unlike the traditional wooden variety.
Other features of the day include guided walks to the new hides, refreshments, Wildlife Trust goods, and children's activities such as pond dipping will be taking place.
Blue House Farm is on Fambridge Road, car parking is free and the nearest station is North Fambridge.
