An 82-year-old woman escaped with minor injuries her invalid buggy was in a collision with a 17-tonne lorry
The pensioner was in St John's Road, Clacton, just before noon yesterday
PC Kevin Carter, of Thorpe traffic police, said the woman was at the crossing, which is controlled by traffic lights, when the accident happened.
He said the woman suffered minor injuries including cuts and bruises.
She was taken to Clacton Hospital by ambulance and was released later.
