A boost of £34,000 will improve transport opportunities for the people of the Rochford area following a partnership agreement launched by the district council.
The authority has finalised a partnership agreement with Essex County Council, which will provide the cash to expand community transport in the area.
Of the total, £21,000 will be used to boost the new taxi voucher scheme for disabled people, which already has 275 users.
The remaining £13,000 will be used to create a scheme to promote car sharing and encourage organisations to share mini buses.
