A teenage girl was indecently assaulted by a stranger in Colchester.
The girl was walking alone in Sir Issacs Walk on Saturday after 10pm when the man accosted her.
He tried to chat her up in the busy street and then went to kiss her as she attempted to escape.
The man then indecently assaulted her in the town centre walk.
The frightened teenager managed to elbow him and made off, later making a formal complaint to police.
Officers are convinced there must have been witnesses to the attack, as the street is a busy junction on weekend nights.
He is described as dark-skinned with an Arabic look, wearing beige trousers and a grey top.
Anyone with information on the assault should call Colchester police on 01206 762212
