Crabbing, duck-racing and plate smashing all raised money for charity at an annual fun day.
About £1,700 was raised for the RNLI yesterday at the event, hosted at Walton and Frinton Yacht Club, Mill Lane, Walton.
Valerie Bloom, chairman of Walton and Frinton Ladies' Lifeboat Guild, said the day had been a huge success.
"It was absolutely fantastic one of the best ever," she said.
More than 100 children entered the crabbing competition and there was a raft race, duck racing and a plate smashing competition, as well as various stalls.
