The continuing success of women's soccer has prompted Basildon Council's Football Development Scheme to hold a school for girls.
The women's game is the fastest growing sport nationally and to get in on the act girls aged between six and 15 can attend the event between August 19 and 22.
School chiefs are opening the event, which runs from 10am to 3pm daily, to girls from around south Essex.
"These are exciting times for girls to be coming into the game, as there are many opportunities for them to progress," said the scheme's football development officer.
The four-day course costs £36.50 and is open to football teams wanting to send a number players may be able to get a discount.
