A Canvey karate instructor and her students are looking to light up Las Vegas when they compete a world championship event.
Susan Woods and 11 of her students, all members of Tokon Kai club, will be heading off to Nevada in November for the tournament.
Thanks to Susan's sponsored bungee jump, they are on their way to getting the £1,000 needed for the trip.
The event at the Barge Inn, Battlesbridge, raised nearly £400 and now the club, which trains at their club centre in Collingwood Road, South Woodham Ferrers, is organising other sponsored events to help them reach their cash target.
The world championships take place on November 23 and 24. Thanking all her sponsors, Susan added: "We're all really looking forward to it, I can't wait."
The club is always looking for new members and you can call them on 01245 324409. Please call the same number if you are able to offer sponsorship for the trip.
