Billericay Town boss Gary Calder was meeting with trialist defender Sam Sodje today in an effort to strengthen his squad before the start of the season.
Sodje impressed with a goal in the 2-1 defeat to a Spurs XI on Tuesday and Calder was hoping to snap up the former Stevenage player to add to competition for places.
Calder is also on the trail of a striker he refused to name ahead of tomorrow's penultimate friendly match against Enfield Town at New Lodge (3pm).
Calder said of Sodje, who has spent the rest of the pre-season at Bristol Rovers: "Sam is an experienced player and should give us more strength in depth."
