Angry mum Anita Makin, 27, today said she was frightened to let her children play in Rectory Park Drive, Pitsea, after her five-year-old son Michael found a used syringe.
She said: "They always play out there but Michael came in with this syringe and I was not very happy."
Anita's concerns come just two weeks after other parents expressed fears to the police that drug addicts were using open spaces to inject themselves.
