Tony Last suffered his heaviest defeat as Witham manager last night.
Work commitments meant he was forced into several changes and a number of young and inexperienced players were thrown into action.
Goalkeeper Jon Cardy, who was playing his last game before a three-match suspension, was again in good form and could not be faulted for any of the goals.
Luke Bauckham (2), Danny Curran (2), Gary Lynch, Tommy Lee and Jamie Reilly were the Aveley players to find the net on an easy evening for the hosts.
Witham battled hard throughout, but were guilty of giving the ball away too easily.
