A classic who dunnit murder mystery was committed at the Grange and young detectives were given the chance to find the perpetrator.
About 200 children from eight primary schools in the Harwich area saw the board game Cleudo come to life as part of a week of mathematical-based activities.
Maths teachers and co-ordinators, dressed as characters from the murder game, and children had to solve clues to find the killer, the weapon and crime scene.
It was set in the Grange, Harwich School's Sixth Form base in Hall Lane, Dovercourt.
Anthea Le Cornu, co-ordinator for the Harwich school, said: "It went brilliantly, not only from the point of view of being good fun but year six children got to have a look around the big school."
