Ambitious plans to spruce up a Pitsea estate with £1.5m of Government cash have one final hurdle to clear.
The Northlands Park estate has been identified as a deprived community and is set to tap into the Government's £45m Pathfinder initiative.
But, while the cash will be forthcoming, the project has been sent back to the drawing board to fine-tune the proposals.
Improvements in the pipeline include a health analysis for residents, and neighbourhood committees placing videos in doctors', dentists' and housing offices to show what is going on throughout the area.
Northlands Park is the only area in the eastern region which is involved in the scheme.
