Colchester will see one of the first drop-in centres in Essex for young people who are at risk of mental illness.
Children who have been bullied or face other adolescent problems will benefit from the facility to be created by Mind.
The organisation has been told they will get a three-year hand-out of £89,729 from the Colchester Primary Care Trust.
Mind is set to be one of 12 organisations to be successful in getting funding from a cash pot of almost £140,000.
