Heybridge suffered their biggest Premier Division home defeat on Saturday against Hendon, a side who began the day three places below them.
The Swifts were never in this one, pulverised by constant waves of attacking pressure from Hendon, who scored six and could have had more.
The first came on 16 minutes through Mark Randall, before Byron Bubb lobbed over the advancing Matt Greenley for Eugene Oforri to steal in with a header.
A Hendon corner led to Michael Woolner poking in number three before Bubb scored the goal of the game with a 30-yard pearler on the stroke of half-time.
Randall made it five on 56 minutes before Ricci Crance completed the scoring for the visitors with three minutes remaining. Budge's injury time consolation for Heybridge did nothing to hide the embarrassment of a comprehensive home defeat which leaves Swifts 18th in the Ryman Premier and eager for the season to end.
