The richly-deserved point won by Colchester United's footballers from Saturday's goalless draw at Wycombe Wanderers has hoisted the club to the brink of Second Division safety.
But it was achieved at a high price - as Arsenal loanee Graham Barrett, leading scorer Scott McGleish and David Gregory were all due to see a specialist today with leg injuries that could keep them out for a number of weeks.
McGleish limped off with an ankle injury after just 19 minutes, while Barrett damaged knee ligaments which forced him out of the game just before half-time.
Gregory played through the 90 minutes, but complained of pains behind a knee.
"It's a bit of a blow to my plans," said U's boss Steve Whitton. "Hopefully things won't turn out as bad as they look today."
The U's would have won all three points at Wycombe if first-half substitute Adrian Coote had not had an 80th-minute goal ruled out for offside.
Coote said: "I would love to see it again on video because I'm not sure that I was offside.
