Antiques dealer Jim Pooley thought he had pocketed a bargain when he picked up a sword at an auction in north Essex.
But what he didn't know was the gleaming century-old sabre has a right royal history.
Jim, who runs an antiques shop in Battlesbridge, later found that the sword had belonged to Prince Albert, the third son of Queen Victoria, and could be worth thousands of pounds to an overseas collector.
