The St Helena Hospice marathon team has been out in Colchester getting in some last-minute training as well as holding a collection.
The idea to be in St Nicholas's Square came from marathon runner Kevin Davies, who will be completing his second marathon for the hospice along with the team of 23 other runners on April 14.
It was an attempt to let people know there were a number of different ways of having fun while raising funds for the hospice the group hope to raise £30,000 this year.
Anyone with a place on the marathon who wants to support the hospice or who would like a place on the hospice team to take part in the Golden Jubilee 10k road race in London in July, or who would like to be included in next year's marathon, should contact fundraising manager Christine Punter on 01206 574995.
