Third-placed Havant were far too good for Chelmsford City on Saturday, romping home 3-0 winners at New Lodge.
The Hawks added to their 4-1 home success only a fortnight ago with this convincing victory, which was started by Tim Hambley's tap-in on 33 minutes.
Ian Cambridge then went close to an equaliser before the City striker's loose cross-field pass put Neil Davis in and the Havant hitman went through to net the second.
Needy pressure was placed on the visitors after the break, and it wasn't until three minutes from time that the points were made absolutely safe, when Hambley bagged his second.
The unnecessary dismissal of goalkeeper Danny Potter and defender Brian Statham shortly afterwards is likely to anger manager Paul Parker more than the result itself.
