Purfleet's current mood good hardly be better. They've won five on the trot and come 4.50pm tomorrow could be above Grays in the contest to be Thurrock's top side.
Fleet are at home to Hampton who languish in the wrong half of the table. However, it is this type of opposition that generally give Colin McBride's team trouble.
And Hampton invariably do well against the better sides. Last month they drew at Canvey and in the past week have shared two draws with Aldershot.
After his two goals in the 3-1 victory against Grays, Colin Simpson may win a starting role.
He has been chiefly confined to the subs' bench since the turn of the year, but looked back to his best when replacing a disappointing Steve Brown early in the second half.
Central defender Dean Chandler is expected to resume after a one-game suspension.
Purfleet have changed the date of their home game against Aldershot. It has been moved back 24 hours to Tuesday, April 16, to avoid clashing with the Essex Senior Cup final.
Meanwhile, Fleet have still to hear from the county FA on whether they have been expelled from this year's competition for refusing to play their semi-final against Dagenham last Thursday week.
