Colchester United will be aiming to erase memories of one of their worst ever away days when they journey to Adams Park tomorrow to tackle old rivals Wycombe Wanderers.
The well-below par U's barely put their noses out of the starting gate when they went down without a fight 3-1 at Peterborough two Saturdays ago.
So Layer Road boss Steve Whitton will not be looking for another horror show against the Chairboys, especially after bouncing back in style with a 3-1 home win, which seriously dented Queens Park Rangers' promotion hopes.
Whitton was outspoken about his team's lacklustre showing, rating their performance as the worst in his entire career as a U's player, coach and manager.
And Lawrie Sanchez, his highly-respected opposite number at Wycombe, also landed himself in hot water recently.
He launched a scathing attack on Stoke City's Nordic stars and the number of foreign players currently turning out in the Second Division.
Sanchez could not resist having a swipe at the Potters and their foreign imports even though Wanderers beat them by the only goal.
Stoke boast no fewer than 14 non-British players on their books and Sanchez asked what they were doing here apart from taking the jobs of British players.
He added if they were meant to be so good why weren't they running away with the Second Division title.
There will be many throughout the Nationwide League who will agree whole-heartedly with Sanchez, but the only thing on his and Whitton's mind tomorrow will be another three points.
Colchester have lost only once in four previous League outings to the Buckinghamshire club - a 3-0 defeat two seasons ago.
The two clubs shared a 1-1 draw in the corresponding game on the final day of last season.
Old faithful Keith Ryan equalised for Wycombe after Scott McGleish had given the U's the lead.
