There was plenty to celebrate at Leigh accountants Clarke Kitchiner Smith when local MP David Amess dropped in to help staff mark a triple achievement.

The Southend MP was guest of honour at a reception at the company's Church Hill offices to celebrate not only the presentation of its Investors in People award, but also the completion of an office extension.

And as if that was not enough, the day also marked the first time that the company's advice and information website went online.

Partner Andrew Clarke said: "It was a proud moment for everyone concerned."
