A man who needed help after crashing his car in a mid-Essex village might have been forgiven for thinking he was down in Devil Gate Drive.
For the when the car driver went to the nearest house for help he found himself at the sumptuous home of 1970s rock diva Suzi Quatro.
The man had lost control of his car and ended up in a ditch near the star's home in Great Waltham, near Chelmsford, on Wednesday, at 9pm, according to an Essex Police spokesman.
The man, who was said to be in shock, knocked at the front door of the home to ask someone if he could use their phone to contact the police.
But is not clear if Suzi was in at the time or if it was her that helped. The pensioner was said to be fine after the accident.
