Ole! -- Norman Lowing charged into his year of office as Castle Point Golf Club captain by dressing as a matador. Vice-captain Ted Robertson proved the perfect foil in his bull costume. Picture: ROBIN WOOSEY 7WLDY21C
A field of over 60 found it a very tough test of golf. Ten players completed the first nine with between 19 and 21 points and the back nine was certain to be the deciding factor.
The final result was very tight with five players returning an overall 38 points total. Coming out on top with 39 points was eight-handicapper A Loveday.
Five players finished on 38 with M Lowings (17) claiming second spot over M Loveday (7), G Eggleton (6), I Shead (12) and R Burder (10).
