A challenge has been laid down to the Harold community to help raise money in a charity walk.
St Peter's Church, Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood is encouraging people to put on their walking boots and step out into the countryside to raised cash for Saint Francis Hospice at Havering-atte-Bower.
The 15-mile circular walk will be held on Saturday May 25 and organisers hope it will prove as popular as previous events, which have attracted around 100 walkers, including some as young as eight-years-old.
The walk will start at St Peter's and will use mainly footpaths throughout the Essex countryside with checkpoints every three or four miles with refreshments available.
