Europe's largest youth music festival is coming to a Brentwood school for a day of music making on Saturday, March 23.
More than 300 musicians from Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk will perform at Brentwood Ursuline Convent High school, Queens Road, Brentwood from 10 am until 5 pm as part of the Music for Youth Regional Festival Series, held in collaboration with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
On the day 17 groups of singers, dancers and musicians will perform, including three chosen from Brentwood Ursuline.
The series involves over 40,000 musicians taking part in 51 regional events accross England and Wales with a final in swansea on March 27.
Many of the performers could go on to the Music for Youth National Festival in London between July 1-6 and 30 groups will be picked to play at the Music for Youth Schools Prom Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall on November 4, 5 and 6.
