Detectives hunting the killer of a Laindon woman have today made a renewed appeal for information.
Anita Gordon, 57, was found dead by her taxi driver husband at their first floor flat in Rowenhall, Laindon, on Friday morning.
A Home Office pathologist determined her cause of death to be a severe head injury - thought to have been caused by a blunt instrument.
Investigators from the specialist Brentwood Major Investigations Team have continued to search the estate and nearby woodland for the weapon but to no avail.
Anyone with information is asked to call the major incident team on 01277 262220 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
