Matt Holland has set Ipswich Town a target of three wins to beat the Premiership drop.
The Blues skipper was upbeat despite his side conceding a late goal in a 2-2 draw with Newcastle at St James' Park on Saturday.
The visitors were also lucky to emerge with a point after Alan Shearer missed a penalty with the last kick of the game.
And Holland believes it was important for Town to end their poor run of four defeats on the trot as they go into a home clash with Aston Villa this weekend.
He said: "After a poor run, we salvaged a great deal of pride with a display full of character.
"Overall, we were disappointed not to get three points. In the end, though, we could have lost it.
"That would have been rough justice. One point is certainly better than none and from here I think three wins will be enough."
