The Basildon, Billericay and Wickford voluntary service is set to create an internet-based directory of all the organisations operating in the district.
The service sent out a survey to more than 900 voluntary and community organisations and the results are now being collated.
Agencies, individuals and the voluntary groups themselves will benefit from the database and can access up-to-date information on local services. More than 250 replies were received.
