The Seasiders travel to Great Yarmouth in the Jewson League Premier Division tonight looking to extend their excellent away record.
Clacton have lost just once on the road with 11 wins from their 17 away days so far this season. In that spell, they have only conceded a miserly 13 goals.
Boss Mick Potter has been extremely pleased with his defence this season and rightly so.
With only a further eight goals being leaked at home, they boast the best defensive record in the division.
It is at the other end of the pitch that Potter wants to see some improvement.
He said: "We need to be more clinical in front of goal. We have had too many draws this season and the main reason for that has been the chances we have missed."
This point was highlighted on Saturday when the Seasiders were unable to break down a determined Diss Town as they played out a goalless draw at the Rush Green Bowl.
The stalemate was their seventh draw at home, where they have managed just five wins from 13 games.
Potter said: "I don't really know why we play better away from home. Maybe it's because the home sides tend to come at us a bit more, allowing us to play our football."
Clacton will be without Shane Bailey (knee) and Dean Braybrook (hamstring) for tonight's game.
Great Yarmouth were beaten 3-2 at Maldon on Saturday and sit third from bottom of the table.
But despite their lowly position, Potter is expecting a tough game.
"They are not a bad side," said Potter.
