A major international banking group is describing the appointment of its Essex chief as the first step in a campaign to corner the county's business and corporate banking market.
National Australia Bank Group, which includes Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, has named Raymond Clark as its new regionaldirector, managing the company's business and corporate teams in the area.
Mr Clark said: "My appointment is evidence of the importance of Essex to the group and is just the first stage of the greater presence which we intend to have here in the future."
