Southend Vineyard Church and local residents are planning a huge jubilee street party in the town.
The event, which will take place in Bircham Road, Redstock Road and the car park and premises of Southend Vineyard Church, will provide a range of entertainment, with a jazz and blues band playing, as well as an African dance display and steel band.
Children will be entertained by inflatables and games, and catering will also be provided. The fun will continue throughout the evening where there will be a traditional beer garden and disco.
Julian Reddihough, pastoral assistant at the church said: "We decided that we would like to have a really big celebration of the jubilee.
"We found that many local residents and businesses were very keen on the idea. We would love people to come or even participate if they have specific skills."
Tickets for the party are free for local residents or £3 for those outside. For more information on the event telephone 01702 612900.
