Plans have been announced for a special concert in Colchester to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The concert will be held at the Charter Hall on Monday, June 3, as part of the four-day bank holiday to mark the jubilee.
Details were unveiled by the two men behind the project, Ian McMeekan and Dr Ian Dewis. Both men are Rotarians and are being supported by all four rotary clubs in Colchester.
Mr Dewis said: "We wanted to do something to allow Colcestrians to be able to celebrate the jubilee."
Up to 1,000 tickets will be available at £12.50 per head, with concessions at £10. There will be a limited number of supper tickets at £30. All will be available from the Charter Hall box office in the next week or so.
The concert starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 9pm.
