A 76-year-old man had almost £10,000 in treasured antiques stolen while he was away from home.
Police have repeated a warning to other antique owners to be on their guard against doorstep callers.
The pensioner was "upset" after thieves broke into his home in White Hill, Stock, and made off with the haul which included an 18th century grandfather clock worth £7,000.
The clock is mahogany and has a full-length door.
A porcelain soup terrine worth £2,000, an oblong folding mahogany table and a small mahogany desk worth £500 were also taken.
