Suffolk Police have named the teenager who is fighting for his life in a Cambridge hospital after the car he was travelling in was involved in a head-on crash with a horse-caravan.
Tony Slattery, 17, from Basildon, was a passenger in a red Ford Granada as it travelled along the A140 in Stoke Ash, Suffolk last Wednesday evening.
Accident investigators are still studying how the car collided head on with a large modern horse-box.
The driver of the horsebox was unhurt but the Granada driver - 47-year-old Tony Cassidy of Norwich - suffered abdominal wounds.
