A funeral director is giving eggstra support to youngsters this Easter.
John Taylor, manager of Co-operative Funeral Service in Southernhay, Basildon, is collecting Easter eggs for the town's social services department, which will give them to community groups and families.
As part of a nationwide appeal the funeral company is urging the community to donate Easter eggs. They can be handed it at the branch until Monday, March 25.
Mr Taylor said: "We wanted to help and support children in the community who, for whatever reason, may need a bit of extra cheer this Easter."
