DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of 15-year-old Danielle Jones have been called in after the discovery of a woman's body at a cement works in Kent.
The body was found at 9am on Friday by workmen at the Blue Circle cement works in Springhead Road, Northfleet.
The premises are near the Blue Water Shopping Centre at Dartford and locals know it as "the blue lake".
The cement works was opened in 1970 and makes up to 1.35 million tonnes of cement a year. The site employs over 300 people and the firm said it supplied cement and building materials to customers throughout the south of England.
The complex is about five miles across the Thames River from where Danielle disappeared nearly nine months ago.
Detectives from the Brentwood Major Investigations Team were informed about the body by Kent Police, but it is not expected the woman's body will be formally identified until Monday or Tuesday after a post mortem has been carried out by a Kent coroner.
