Braintree threw away a two-goal lead at the weekend though remain 6th in the Ryman League Premier standings, despite three successive defeats.

Visiting Enfield had been suffering something of a relegation haunted season up until the last couple of months when they have successfully pulled away from the drop places.

With survival virtually secured, the North London club came to Essex determined to show off top scorer George Georgiou, one of the Ryman League's most prolific hitmen over the last five years.

But Braintree had their own ideas, and were quickly off the mark as Robbie Reinelt, and then Colin Simpson, found the target within the first 25 minutes. The visitors pulled one back through that man Georgiou shortly after, and began to get on top as the half drew to a close.

That confidence was furthered in the second period and the visitors found themselves level just before the hour mark as Marvin Walker sped down the left to beat Paul Catley with a low drive.

Walker was again at it shortly afterwards, sliding the ball across to Georgiou who had the simplest of tap-in's to secure an unlikely three points for Enfield.
