Schoolgirl Gemma Glover is on the first rung of the ladder of business success after being named ProShare's young business writer of the year.

She was presented with a cheque for £250 on satellite television's Bloomberg television.
The competition is part of ProShare's Student Investor programme, which educates teenagers about investment.
The 17-year-old Great Baddow High School student's winning essay was about how firms need to adapt to survive and thrive in the dangerous and fast moving jungle of the business world.
