With spring in the air and gardeners preparing to take out their lawnmowers - burglars too are on the look out for tools.
The Thurrock Crime Prevention Panel, in conjunction with Thurrock Council and the police has launched a campaign to highlight the problem by providing colourful bookmarks giving advice on the matter.
The panel is currently looking for new members from the business community, the voluntary sector and interested individuals to help carry forward the work.
If you feel that you, or your organisation, can make a difference by helping to promote crime prevention in Thurrock, please contact: Jenny Meads, Chair of the Thurrock Crime Prevention Panel, at Chadwell Library, 01375 842511.
