Firefighters dealt with an arson attack on a derelict car in Dovercourt.
The car, in Pelham Close, was well alight when firefighters arrived at 2.30am today. It took about 30 minutes for the blaze to be put out.
A spokesman for the Essex Fire and Rescue Service said the car blaze was being treated as suspicious.
