The Church of England on Canvey is organising a special event this weekend.
All three church centres - St Katherine's, St Anne's and St Nicholas - will be open from 10am until 2pm to enable islanders to make a thanks offering for blessings received in memory of someone who has died or a prayer offering on behalf of themselves or a loved one.
